To lose weight: eat less and exercise more
Easy, right? As simple as this sounds, there is still a large percentage of unhealthy overweight individuals.
Current statistics prove this point. In the United States, over 32% of adult men and 35% of adult women are obese. Unfortunately, even eating right and exercising won’t allow certain people to achieve a healthy weight.
When it comes to losing weight, we’ve got the desire and the know-how but we’re still not able to lose extra pounds. It would seem that we just can’t succeed without outside help and support.
Thankfully, Mother Nature has created a couple of herbal solutions to help keep us on track. These supplements can help suppress appetite, increase energy, combat stress and fatigue, and improve your mood—helping you reach and maintain your optimal weight. What are some of the best?
- Hoodia
A cactus-like plant that grows in the African desert, hoodia has long been used by indigenous people to suppress appetite during long treks through the desert. Phytochemicals found in Hoodia trigger the part of the brain that controls satiety (the feeling of fullness). You may not be crossing the desert, but you could use help avoiding the cookie aisle in the supermarket. Hoodia can give you the willpower you need to succeed. - Acai Berry
Widely acknowledged by doctors and nutritionists as a “superfood,” this berry from the Amazon rainforest is chock-full of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants (10 times more than red grapes) that can help you lose weight and build muscle. As an added benefit, Acai Berry can help keep your skin supple and smooth. - Ginger Root
Long a remedy for curing an upset stomach (remember how mom used to give you ginger ale as a child?), ginger root boasts a variety of health benefits: it stimulates your metabolism; it can suppress your appetite; and its invigorating scent and chemical properties even boost mental alertness. - Resveratrol
A potent antioxidant found in the skin of red fruits like grapes, raspberries, and cranberries, Resveratrol is believed to have anti-aging, anti-inflammatory, and anti-cancer properties. In scientific studies on mammals, animals given high doses of resveratrol had increased strength, lean muscle mass, and stamina. It also helps to boost testosterone—a hormone that, in high doses, inhibits body fat. - Rhubarb
This root vegetable is much more than a delicious filling for pie. High in vitamins, Rhubarb is another superfood said to speed up metabolism. A daily dose of rhubarb extract can also help prevent hot flashes in menopausal women.
Anti-Aging Store’s Slim System supplements contain all of these fat-fighting ingredients and a few more. There’s no reason to do it alone. Get the support you need from Slim System supplements.
